Overview
Catching the Invisible is an independent project made for ITP graduate course: Intangible Interaction. It is a wearable device that detects movements and gives haptic feedback when the user "catches" an invisible ghost. It aims to evoke a sense of nostalgic reminiscence by integrating familiar aspects of beloved childhood pastimes and the thrill of pursuit activities.
User will need to press the button to initialize the game, then start moving around to find the ghost. If a ghost is in close proximity, the device's haptic feedback system will engage vibratory motors to indicate the user should attempt to virtually "capture" the ghost. Upon a successful capture, the device's LCD display will update to reflect the cumulative count of ghosts apprehended during that gaming session.
